Bio
I am a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who believes in using technology to improve healthcare. I was born and raised in Damascus, Syria, and graduated from Damascus University Medical School. I completed my Internal Medicine Residency at Weiss Memorial Hospital and Clinical Informatics fellowship at The University of Illinois Chicago.
I am currently serving as the Senior Medical Director of Health Informatics and Analytics at CVS Health. I also continue to serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UI Health at the Academic Internal Medicine & Geriatrics Department.
I am also involved in several professional organizations; I am a member of the Governor's Council of the ACP Northern Illinois Chapter, the HIMSS Greater Chicago Chapter, and the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). He also holds several leadership positions, including Chair of the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Committee in the ACP Northern Illinois Chapter and National ACP Medical Informatics Committee.
I have a wide range of interests, including entrepreneurship, clinical informatics, Value-Based Care, Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, Health IT, and media.
