About Me

Bio

I am currently a dual fellow in clinical informatics and oncological surgical pathology. My educational background includes genomic medicine, digital pathology, artificial intelligence, and law. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from Marist College, which laid the foundation for my aspiration to become a pathologist. I pursued my medical and law degrees at the Ohio State University, where I became the first person to complete the combined program. During my medical school clerkship, I discovered the subspecialty of pathology informatics, which ultimately led me to complete an NIH T32 Genomic Medicine Postdoctoral fellowship at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Department of Biomedical Informatics and the Vanderbilt University Genetics Institute. In my research projects, I focused on applying molecular genetic pathology, digital pathology, and machine learning to identify molecular genetic signatures on whole slide images. I completed my anatomical and laboratory medicine training at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Department of Pathology. I have been a proud member of the College of American Pathologists Digital Computational Pathology Committee since 2022, contributing to the creation of guidelines and recommendations for implementing digital pathology and artificial intelligence in anatomical pathology across North America. My professional interests include breast cancer, enterprise-level imaging and computational pathology.
